After 2 full days of following and streaming Aljazeera, CNN, NHK, YokosoNews, I find it tragic and almost ridiculous that Japan was hit with a Mother Nature combo. Earthquake --> tsunami --> meltdown. I do think Prime Minister Naoto Kan and entirety of Japan did a great job responding quickly considering the hand they were dealt. Preparedness is key and I keep hearing Japan's government and infrastructure was so I hope all nations (including the US) can also make and implement emergency disaster plans.

I also found it eery and depressing watching all the devastating footages of the tsunami washing all the debris inland and engulfing farmland, homes, and cars. It just demonstrates how everything we have built can be instantaneously destroyed in matters of hours.

I just heard that most Japanese people are going back to work tomorrow and find the human spirit to be amazing.

Hoping people will donate $10 to Japan through the Red Cross or any other verified organization.

Lastly, I pray and hope that everyone can make it home, that those who need food and water can acquire it,  everyone is safe, missing people are found, and that the rebuilding happens quickly.

so it seems to me-- we cannot change our insecurities and that is what affects us from changing our environment. so you wanna summon up courage to say a mere "hello"? you wanna move on? wanna shut up that voice in your head that says you need that someone? i think what it boils down to is how well do you know what you're doing, what it is you want, what it is you can take, and if we are willing to let what is going on continue. like i told my friend tonight, oh we're in control.. even if it is passively so. it's all about your limits. when is it enough for you to take the yelling, how long can you bear the scolding, and how long can you bear the stress?

i wish certain people knew what they deserved and shouldn't take the B.S. anymore. why do YOU let someone else have a say in your life that much? and when do you realize you've sacrificed too much? hmm-- it scares me how some people in relationships are. oh love is blinding... but i don't think you're always seeing roses, i think sometimes, you just can't see anything... and once you realize you can see again... you can't even recognize your own reflection.

Greetings! I haven't blogged in so long... cause I keep forgetting my thoughts. It's been a month BUT the Hollywood Bowl was AMAZING! Like I predicted -- best day of my life-- Ever!! Haha. I think they did a good job in trying to entertain everyone of all ages and keep the whole Korean-cultured Festival spirit. Cause I love my Kpop idols as much as the next fangirl, but it is a festival that only occurs once a year, so I assume it's huge for the Korean community in the West Coast, as well as the US.

Our next Kadventure leads us to the Walt Disney Hall on the 19th! Keke. We're going to see Wheesung & Lena Park (who is amazing live)! I'm super excited since I want to do more things this summer and be adventurous to balance out the boredom that is my life during the semesters.

Thought that's been floating in my head recently is how I wish people wouldn't get caught up so much in what's "cool" and what's "nerdy." It's a shame because I used to think the stuff I'm in love with now was super nerdy. Now-- I feel it's sort of a blessing. I know I definitely shouldn't be one to say this-- but-- I feel people shove themselves in boxes afraid to go outside and explore.

I for one-- should probably socialize-- with people in the real world rather than in the youtube videos lol. I'm not saying to go do something you don't want to-- but maybe try something you normally would just dismiss as "weird" or "gay." Who knows? Maybe when I hit 21 later this year I'll go explore the bar & club scene-- see what it's like at least. Then determine if it is or isn't for me. I think this whole kpop thing is my best example.. if I hadn't looked into it.. would've never found this amazing community of asian fandomness lol.
